Outcome: Discussions were held to finalize the draft greening policy.
CIPS has been selected as one of the training partners by Commissionerate of School Education, GoAP and was assigned (1425) schools in (3) districts covering (2,11,334) students for implementing life skills and career guidance for IX and X class students. Accordingly, a meeting was held by CIPS team along with subject experts and other training partners.

Outcome: In the meeting, it was discussed on fine tuning the content for implementation of ‘Life Skills and Career Guidance’ for all the Govt. school students across Andhra Pradesh. COIGN Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is the knowledge partner of CIPS in implementing the project. CIPS was assigned (1425) schools in (3) districts covering a massive number of (2,11,334) students and the budget-allotted is to the tune of Rs. 1,69,06,720/-

Outcome: A brief write-up has been prepared on the management of human-wildlife conflicts for circulation during the brainstorming session. The aim of the session is to prepare a comprehensive plan for attracting sponsorship from individuals and the corporate sector so that the activities are run from external financial help.

CIPS team visited Commissionerate of School Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to decide the content on life skills and career guidance to be imparted to IX and X class students of government schools. Also, the team visited Tribal Welfare Department and facilitated drafting letter to the Commissioner, Department of School Education requesting to furnish the data as required.

CIPS team visited Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta and held discussions with Dr. Siddharth Rao, Dy. Medical Superintendent who had requested CIPS team to present a live demonstration to Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Medical Superintendent, NIMS on Eco365 Water saving nozzles. Response awaited to finalize the date for conducting the live demonstration.

Outcome: CIPS team assisted in submitting the revised financial proposal – A proposal to provide technical and HR support to streamline and strengthen the educational institutions and practices in Tribal Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh.
Following the request from Tribal Welfare Department and Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad, CIPS team headed by Advisor, CIPS, attended the review meeting on the project proposal titled “Study and documentation of the indigenous (Health) knowledge, performing Arts, Visual Arts of 23 Tribal Communities across AP” submitted by Prof. Vijay Prakash (Retd.,) from Andhra University.

Outcome: Discussed the methodology, sample size, justification of the selected sample and plan of action to carry out the study to record and document the art forms of various tribal communities in Andhra Pradesh.
CIPS team in consultation with Dr. N. Upender Reddy, Consultant, prepared draft structure of assessment of tribal education sector in Andhra Pradesh duly considering the achievements, challenges & policy options. The team also compiled ITDA wise tables for collecting details of schools, teachers, enrollment, teacher training, infrastructure facilities, etc. from the year 2013-2014 to 2017-2018.

CIPS team held a series of meetings with Mr. Mathen Rajeev Mathew, Knowledge Partner, CIPS to prepare an advertisement inviting potential sponsorers for mitigating human-wildlife conflicts, conserving biodiversity, sustainable use of bio-resources and promotion of bamboo development.

Outcome: Development of new webpage in line with the advertisement is in progress. This webpage will be hosted on CIPS website shortly. Knowledge partners have been identified and communications were sent regarding their empanelment.
In pursuance of the Project Establishing District Cancer Detection Centre, Suryapet District Director CIPS along with Advisor, CIPS and PRA CIPS met Dr. Ramesh Reddy, Director, Medical Education, Government of Telangana and explained in detail about the said project.

Outcome: Dr. Reddy responded positively as the donors bear the cost of door to door cancer screening in the district with the help of a mobile van.
He further opined that the required space of 2,500 Sft. for oncology unit could be allotted for DCDC subject to the approval of competent authority.
Since Rs. 2.00 Crores has been committed already by an oncologist (NRI) and Rotary Club International, it is requested that it may kindly be given the required approval as sought by the Collector to take cancer care to the doorstep of rural people.

Outcome: As a follow-up activity on the release of the last and final instalment for the project “Capacity Building Programmes of Innovative Best Practices under Mission Mode Projects (MMP)”, CIPS team visited Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India, New Delhi and met all the officials concerned.
An amount of Rs. 1,33,75,952/- due to CIPS has been received on 1st October 2018.
On receipt of the invitation from Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) for 2nd ABS Thematic Expert Member Committee Meeting, the Director (I/C), CIPS chaired the said meeting at GSBB Office, Goa.

Outcome: The Meeting was aimed at assessing ground level scenario and meeting the women of Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) working in sanitary napkin manufacturing unit. This visit was aimed at suggesting skill upgradation measures for JLGs to manufacture better quality sanitary pads and sensitize tribal girls on safe hygiene practices and adolescent health etc.,

Outcome: CIPS shall explore the possibility of replicating Zero Investment Innovations for Education Initiatives (ZIIEI) in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
CIPS in collaboration with the Aurobindo Society would organize an orientation workshop for the govt. school teachers on identifying and documenting grassroot level innovations.

Outcome: Three draft training modules viz., (i) ‘Training Module for Gram Sabha members for implementation of PESA Act. (ii) Training Module for Functionaries working in Tribal Areas’ (iii) ‘Training Module for the Head of the Educational Institutes in Tribal Areas’, have been prepared and the same will be finalized in the month of March 2018. Illustrators were engaged to incorporate the illustrations in the training modules prepared by CIPS to make the content more presentable.

Outcome: The session was convened to finalize and fine tune the drafted units of School Health and Academic Aspects of the training module for the Head of the Educational Institutes in Tribal Areas’. The experts of School Health and Adivasi Arogyam, GoAP and Commissionerate & Directorate of School Education, Govt. of Telangana had participated in the brainstorming session. National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi also participated in the brainstorming session to give her expert advice and suggestions to improve the contents of the drafts.
Held meeting with the Project Manager, NBA, Chennai to discuss on (1) National Workshop to document lessons learnt and the way forward for Developing Framework for next phase of UNEP-GEF-MoEFCC ABS Project & (2) National Evaluation/Study to document lessons learnt for Policy Support for UNEP-GEF-MoEFCC ABS Projects.

Outcome: As a result of the meeting, CIPS has submitted two proposals to NBA. The estimated project value of workshop is Rs. 25,71,398/- and the evaluation study is Rs. 60,61,003/- respectively. Response from NBA is awaited.

Outcome: The entire amount received and spent has been audited and the audited statement of account for the project has been submitted as per the actuals received and spent which revealed that funds payable to CIPS is Rs. 1,33,75,952/- instead of Rs.3,59,34,665/-. Based on the deliberations of the meeting, a closure report for the project has been prepared and submitted to MeitY, GoI.
