GDLN membership for CIPS (Global Development Learning Network)

29 September 2014: CIPS has been formally approved as a member of World Bank Asia Pacific by the GDLN-AP membership subcommittee and the GDLN-AP Governing committee.

Strengthening Knowledge Sharing Capacity of CIPS with World Bank Assistance:

The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) together with World Bank has identified CIPS along with National Aids Control Organizations for developing this Centre an International Knowledge Experience and Exchange Hub (IKEEH).

8th – 10th September, 2014: The World Bank has sent a mission consisting of Mr. Steffen Janus, Mr. Laurent Porte, Ms. Pronita Chakrabarti and Mr. Jeff Kwaterski for a period of 3 days from 8th of September to 10th of September, 2014 to develop a technical assistance proposal for strengthening the knowledge sharing capacity of CIPS. The World Bank Mission engaged the entire staff of CIPS and few Members of the Advisory Council and Steering Committee for

As part of the process, the Bank has also agreed to facilitate contacts between Department of Economic Affairs and a number of Korean Knowledge Institutions to explore partnership opportunities with CIPS.
19th – 20th of January, 2015:

A two Day Workshop on Knowledge Sharing Policy and Leadership with the help of an IT Platform was conducted on the 19th & 20th of January, 2015 at Hyderabad. CIPS has also extended this training to ATIs .

The following International experts from World Bank participated in the programme on Institutional Assessment and providing an IT platform on Knowledge Sharing:

In both the programmes CIPS has ensured the participation of representatives from the ATIs.

International Best Practices

CIPS has so far conducted 8 programmes on International Best Practices :

13 February, 2015: Video Conference on “Electronic Toll Collecting System” an International Best Practice of Japan. This is being conducted in association with Tokyo Development Learning Centre, East Asia and Pacific Region, The World Bank, Japan. The Key Speakers are :
